They could make the electricity delivery a lot simpler. Electricity is the easiest form of energy to transfer. Yet EV manufacturers have chosen a delivery method that's similar to the gasoline system: a tank (the battery in an EV) and limited fuel supply stations (gas stations or charging stations).

I say do away with all that crap. Install power lines along all highways and let the trucks and cars feed off the grid directly. They're only starting to do that for truck routes. Until that's available for cars, at least make the batteries easy to swap.

The Chevy Volt has a backup gas engine so it doesn't leave you stranded like the Leaf, that's an advantage worth noting

Purpose-driven is clearly better than retrofits, but give me a gas or diesel engine any time. Plus, I would never go all electric. I want that gas backup, just in case.
