I always say Ukraine, never thought of saying The Ukraine. I don't really pay attention what other people call it. To me Ukraine is Ukraine, no matter how you say it :) Maybe because when I left for America it was still USSR. Sometime I actually say I'm russian, which that is what I was when I left.

I am a math/stats geek and therefore I am very careful that all my units match.

My odo is in Kms, and I fill up in liters. There are approx 1.6 kms to a mile, and 3.7854 liters to a US gallon.

I convert everything that I write on Gasbuddy to US measure, as no one would understand otherwise.
