ROTFLMAO...just as I suspected but didn't check. DrpepperTX has been touting the research study from UT as "from God's mouth to his ears". Good to have its validity confirmed!
This article is nearly word-for-word of one from yesterday. The author suggest industry self-policing would solve many of the fracking issues. We all know how well Big Oil and Gas do with 'self-policing'!
If anyone believes self-policing works....I have a ocean-side property for sale in OKC.

The "panel of experts not tied to industry" reported on a "new study" from the Energy Institute of the University of Texas that was funded by ConocoPhillips.
???? $1,500,000 sounds like a connection to me!

To be believable, the author might have been willing to be up front with who paid for the "new study" in the same sentence announcing the "new study."
Please don't treat us like were are ignorant and unlearned.
Tell us up front who funded the "new study!"

Hydraulic fracturing ALREADY works. People would know that but the media agenda against the process continues to have some folks buffaloed.

The majority of environmentalists would also be satisfied if drilling and gas companies would impose tougher controls on their own operations, and if regulators would stiffen safety rules and crack down on violators who break them.

p, all corporations have their skeletons in the closet....
some will work to exorcise the demons from what they do....
other embrace their demons, weaponize them for battle and use them against others....
the fracking industry appears arrogant and uncontrolled... with a need to be reeled in.. this fish has just taken too much line....

Yeah, but if cleaned up the fluid, it probably wouldn't be any good for fracking. That's probably why it has been so hard get the ingredients...

By adding tell tale markers to the chemicals used in fracking they could be identified if the pollute. If clean chemical are available and affordable then they should be used.
